Aloe Moisture Ampoule 100 Review

SkinFood Aloe Moisture Ampoule 100 Review

I am going to write a review on SKINFOOD Aloe Moisture Ampoule 100 today. :)
In fact, I've had this for quite a long time, but I didn't use it because the Caviar Ample didn't match very well on me last time.

I tried using this product a few days ago and found out that it was actually quite nice~

Aloe Moisture Ampoule 100
50ml

Aloe Moisture Ampoule 100 SkinFood

It's sort of expensive as a road-shop cosmetics, but
it's not that expensive for a highly enriched ampoule.

It's an ampoule that provides moisture with aloe extracts.

A dropper is attached to the lid
and you can let it get absorbed into the skin by dropping two or three drops.
I've expected it to be sticky like the Caviar Ampoule, but it didn't have much oil and had a lot of moisture instead.

I dropped one drop on the back of my hand.
It gets absorbed into the skin without a trace when you gently tap it.

It gets absorbed very quickly!!

My skin definitely became smoother
when I applied the product on my face.
The Caviar Ampoule was very oily and it made the T-Zone very glossy because it had a lot of oil it in. Perhaps it was because it's a product for enhancing your wrinkles.

But this product makes your skin very moist without oil.
Even though I was not able to feel the flexibility that I felt while using Etude House's moisturizing cream, this aloe ampoule seemed to fill up the moisture into my skin while
Etude House's moisturizing cream seemed to cover the outside.

One of the disadvantages of this product is that moisture doesn't last very long.
After doing the basic cosmetics + makeups in the morning,
my skin was a little dry in the afternoon.
You know.. my cheeks and areas near my mouth are combination of dry and oily skin.

I don't usually buy basic cosmetics at a road shop,
but this product was very good because it didn't irritate the skin or anything.
I was always worried that my pimples would get worse.

It would have been a lot better if it had more moisture in it,
but it was definitely more than what I've expected. :)

Flebote Collagenic Xp V Lifting Serum Review

The Face Shop Flebote Collagenic Xp V Lifting Serum Review

It has a same design with 'Flebote 3D Moisture'. It's just that the color of the case is different.
I personally like the pink one better than the purple.

I'll give a brief introduction of the product.

Volume: 40ml

I also got 'Flebote 3D Moisture Concentrate Cream ' as a 1+1 gift
because I bought it during an event~
'FLEBOTE COLLAGENIC XP V-Lifting Serum' has used a V-Lifting system that
enables you to have a V-line on your face again. It fills up the collagen that are being evaporated as you grow older and it also helps to tie up the dis-assembly of collagen that are being disassembled as the flexibility of the skin reduces.

I liked the case,
but the pump looked very cheap.
I guess it's okay as long as it doesn't break down.

I pumped the cream once or twice and gently applied the cream ~

It had a delicate smell. Well, I guess I should say that it almost had no smell at all.
What was really good was that it wasn't sticky~
It was absorbed into the skin very smoothly. You'll be able to feel that it's really good right when you apply it on your skin~

I cannot describe it in detail because I am young and also because I didn't experience huge effects because I've only used this for several days for the review,
but I think the texture is very good~

My mom really liked it and she keeps massaging her face with this. LOL
My mom has thick and huge fine winkles and
I think she's experiencing some changes~
Of course, it wouldn't be more effective than a Botox,
but it does actually help to enhance your skin~

I would like to recommend it for those people who are getting loose chins by their old age~

Face it BB Cream Aqua Tinted Review

The Face Shop Face it BB Cream Aqua Tinted Review

After trying the Hydro Splash BB Cream from The Face Shop, my love of BB creams was cemented. I used that cream regularly for over a year. When the tube ran dry, I hot-footed it back to The Face Shop to get some more. It was at this point that I discovered that the Hydro Splash had been discontinued. Cue scene with me falling to my knees in the middle of The Face Shop and dramatically screaming “Nooooo!” with my clenched fists extended towards the ceiling.

After some consoling and tear-mopping, the lovely woman who worked in the store handed me the new Aqua Tinted BB Cream, and told me that this was the closest thing to my beloved Hydro Splash. I reluctantly bought it, and hoped that it would live up to my (now impossibly high) expectations.
Face it BB Cream Aqua Tinted

The first thing I noticed about this BB cream is it’s colour. In the past, every BB cream I’ve tried has had a slightly grey tone. This one is a lot more yellow. This worried me, because I have very pale skin and I was concerned that the cream wouldn’t match my skin as well as a grey-toned BB cream would. However, the cream performs very well, disappearing into the skin and matching my skin tone.
Face it BB Cream Aqua Tinted rating

The second thing that caught my attention with this BB cream is the fact that it doesn’t offer as much coverage as the Hydro Splash formula. In my opinion, the Aqua Tinted cream is more like a tinted moisturiser than a BB cream. It gives only a very light coverage, and doesn’t do a lot to even out the skin tone. However, you can build it up on areas that need more coverage without getting a cakey finish. The Aqua Tinted BB cream gives a really light, natural coverage which is perfect for summer or minimal makeup days. You can also pop a light layer of powder over the top to give you a bit of extra coverage and to nix any residual shine.

This BB cream is incredibly moisturising. After two weeks of using it daily, my skin is looking smoother and softer. This is particularly noteworthy, as my skin is prone to extreme dryness in the cold weather. Since I’ve been using this product, I haven’t noticed a hint of flakiness or dryness anywhere on my mug.

The cream itself is really easy to apply. I just blend a dot of it all over my face using my fingers before applying my concealer. A little goes a long way and the cream melts into your skin really quickly. Because you use so little, one tube should last for quite a while.

I paid Face it BB Cream Aqua Tinted $31 for this tube, which I feel is a reasonable price based on the quality and quantity. I would recommend this product for women who want a light, easy-to-apply product that will make their skin soft and glowy.

So, even though it wasn’t as great as my beloved Hydro Splash, the Aqua Tinted BB cream is still a really excellent product. I’m very pleased with it.

Have you tried the Aqua Tinted BB cream? What did you think of it?

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for a BB cream with a bit more coverage, I’d love to hear them.

Clean Face Mild Toner and Lotion Review

Clean Face Mild Toner and Clean Face Mild

Around a month ago I decided to stop using my regular Laneige toner and emulsion. I suspected there was oil in both products that broke me out regularly. I've been having pretty regular break outs on my face since March of this year. The time corresponded with me stop using my Enprani balancing toner and emulsion. Because the balancing toner and emulsion doesn't contain any oil (in fact they contain some alcohol) my face was in good shape. I didn't understand that connection and I bought new products that did contain oils. Laneige's white plus toner and emulsion are both great products, but not with oily, sensitive skin.

The Face Shop Mild Toner and Lotion

I had to choose between purchasing the Enprani AC-Pore set or The Face Shop's Clean Face set. The prices for the two sets are completely different. Enprani is on the pricier side so the toner and emulsion combo would set me back $85, while The Face Shop's Clean face duo would set me back $34. Plus, with the latter I can just buy at a store in K-Town. I decided to try and save money and try the Face Shop's products first.

The Toner and Lotion (emulsion) are both $16 each not including tax at the store in K-Town. There are also stores in Chinatown and in Flushing. These stores are all in New York. You can buy these products online for a comparable price, but most of them ship straight from Korea so it takes around two weeks.

Clean Face Mild Toner
I am really glad that I tried it first. It really is amazing and stopping break outs from happening. I've used this for around a month now and I can see a definite difference in my skin. New break outs have slowed down to almost a stop and my acne scars are finally getting a chance to heal. Now and then I do sometimes get a tiny little white head, but it is barely noticeable. Also during that time of the month when I usually start getting annoying pimples/whiteheads; they no longer appear as badly. Sometimes I see a tiny red dot, but that is the extent of it.

Clean Face Mild Lotion

As for the size of my pores, when I initially started using this I could see my pores getting larger. Compared to the Laneige toner, this toner was not as effective in shrinking pores. However, after I switched to using the Clean Face foaming cleanser; my pores have shrank back to its original size.

Product top views
If there was a negative aspect for the products, its that the packaging is not very exciting or pretty. Both the toner and lotion are housed in very plain beige colored bottles. Like most toners, this one has the traditional rounded hole that you shake out the product from. The lotion is also made with the same format. It has a bigger hole to shake out the product, but its inconvenient as I am used to the pumps that Laneige and Enprani products have. Price wise this is less than half of Laneige and almost a third of Enprani, so I shouldn't be complaining.

The Face Shop Clean Face Mild Toner

The Face Shop Clean Face Mild Lotion

The toner is thin and watery. Some toners have that serum like thickness that is suppose to be moisturizing, but since this one is for oily skins the consistency is like water. The lotion is also on the thinner side. I feel like you have to use more to cover your entire face. This means you use up the entire bottle more quickly.

The Good:
Affordable!
Easy access (can buy in stores)
Reduces whiteheads/ Reduces pimples
Prevents blemishes, whiteheads, and other imperfections
The Bad:
Have to use more than other brands I've tried

Ratings: 5/5

Conclusion: I really recommend it. Of course not everyone has the same skin, so the effects can be different. However, this really did improve my skin loads and its cheap enough for you to try.

Clean Face Blemish Zero Clarifying Toner

Clean Face Blemish Zero Clarifying Toner
This is one of my favourite toners and I'm already on my second bottle.  It's free from alcohol, mineral oil, or synthetic fragrances, so it's pretty ideal for most skin types.  The primary (and wonderful) ingredients include hyaluronic acid, Portulaca oleracea extract (anti-inflammatory), alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), and beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) derived from natural sources.

This toner is meant for sufferers of adult acne, according to their website, but I think this is still suitable for teenagers experiencing puberty-related acne breakouts.

So what is wonderful about this toner? Well, first, the BHA and AHA are wonderful chemical exfoliants.  They help to remove dead skin cells and also increase collagen production for healthy and elastic skin.  Usually, products are either BHA or AHA only but this toner combines both for maximization of benefits.

BHA:
• anti-inflammatory - good for sensitive skin that is blemish, eczema, or rosacea prone.
• exfoliates the surface of your skin and deep into your pores, reducing white/black heads and acne
• anti-bacterial properties to reduce acne-causing bacteria on your skin

AHA:
• exfoliates surface of skin
• evens out skin tone and provides moisture for dry skin
The toner is very watery and I apply it on my face with a cotton swab or sometimes I just pour a small amount in my hand and lightly pat it into my skin.  I use this after my cleanser and Missha First Treatment Essence.

The results have been better moisturized skin, evened out skin tone, and a reduction in black/white heads. However, my acne has not disappeared which is not surprising since I have extremely stubborn cystic acne along my jaw and cheeks.  The levels of BHA/AHA are probably not strong enough to work on acne, but certainly strong enough to help exfoliate!

How to use

Skinfood Tomato Jelly Lip Tint Review

Last June, while I was in my "must get that membership card!" mode, I came across a few raves in the candymag forums on a particular lipgloss/tint from Skinfood, Curious, I read searched for more about it. Since there are quite a few reviews on it, I decided to purchase it myself.

Flash on. Near to actual color of liptint

Jump to see more of the product!

The SA told me that the Tomato Jelly Lip Tint is one of their best sellers (I think, she suggested that product a week before too). She gave me the #3 shade, since it was best suited for my skin color (a bit tanned skin tone). Sadly, there weren't any testers of it that time (they just opened after renovations), but I took it anyway. (I like their SA. They know their products. And they're very accommodating too.)
3 weeks have passed. And I'm loving this product.

Cost: P595 (approximately $12.80)

Color: If you're after a little bit pinkish-reddish tint on your lips, but not too wild, this is good.

Smell: has this hint of berries, just like those normal berry-peach lipglosses, but better. Doesn't give this "cheap" smell, typical to Skinfood products.

Taste: Not yucky, for sure. It has this slight taste of peaches, I think.

Texture: Just like any of those normal stick lipgloss

Long wear. You only need to apply it once/twice during the day.  But it really depends on what you do (drink a lot of water, etc)

It's pretty small. You can place it anywhere. :)

Liptint and a pen

I don't like it really bold on my lips so I pass through my lips once.
I tried creating a swatch for it using my hand and on a tissue paper.

Swatch 1: On my hand

Swatch 2: On tissue paper

What I don't like: it fell on the floor 4-5 times, and squashed inside my pouch for 3 weeks. Now, it has this crack on the label. :( Also, prolonged use might result to cracked lips. Be sure to moisturize prior use.

Buy again? Yes! I'll wait until it expires (or when I get very much irritated when I see the crack)

MAC Eye Shadow x15 Review

Hey Guys,

So as you know I bought both palettes which put quite a big hole in my purse…. If I think they are worth the money you will see if you keep reading ;) (I have been testing the two palettes since about the beginning of the month)

Hey (Veluxe Pearl), Warm Breeze (Satin), Gingersnap (Frost), Dark Brew (Velvet), Dance in the Dark (Matt)
Brule (Satin), Vanilla Extract (Frost), Honey Lust (Lustre), Amber Lights (Frost), Saddle (Matt)
Lemon Tart (Veluxe Pearl), Creative Copper (Lustre), Butterfudge (Satin), Divine Decandence (Velvet), Unwind (Veluxe Pearl)

Flounce (Matte), Sweet Allure (Satin), Sun Tweaked (Frost), After Dusk (Veluxe Pearl), Black Berry (Matte)
Pick Me Up (Matte), Cozy Grey (Matte), Crushed Clove (Frost), Deception (Frost), Brun (Satin)
Silver Fog (Lustre), French Clay (Frost), Cumulus (Frost), Pearled Earth (Veluxe Pearl), Blach Tied (Velvet)

So as the name Eye Shadow X15: Warm Neutral or Cool Neutral, depending on which you have, already tells us that we are talking about eye shadows, surprise ;) The palettes either contain cool toned coloures or warm toned. The text from MAC says that they are a highly pigmented powdery texture, which is easy to apply and to blend.

As you can see from the swatches below (Sorry the lighter colours don't show as strong as they really are), most coloures are really highly pigmented with some exceptions, but they can all be easily built up the only really exceptions are brule, warm breeze for me, but for my looks it doesn’t bother me because I don’t need these colours to be too pigmented. Also they stay on really well, I usually use my Paint Pot in Painterly as base and my eye makeup last me for about 10 hours depending on the day ;)

Warm Neutrals:

Cool Neutrals:

I have to say I love these palettes, since they arrived about a month ago I always use them when I apply eye shadow. With them you can create all kinds of looks. You can use one row of coloures in a palette, because they match or you can mix them up inside the palette. But if you want to you can mix the warm and the cool coloures, depending on what you like. For me it depends on my mood. For my job I can’t use too bold a makeup, but with the neutrals that is no problem and when I go out I can also use these palettes to create a heavier look.
Okay I will sum up my pros and cons for the palettes:

PROS:
+ A lot of neutral coloures
+A lot of different looks possible
+ Easy to apply and blend
+ Good pigmentation
+ stay on well, with paint pot as base up to 10 hours

CONS:
-Price , one palette 145€ in Germany

After looking at all these points I have to say, that for me personally it was worth spending the money on the palettes. I love using them, I love to use neutral coloures. For me it was also a good investment because them on a regular basis and they will still last me for a long long time.
I would probably would have bought empty palettes and would have filled them with tons of neutrals but now I already have them. This way as pre pressed palettes they are cheaper even though they seem a lot more expensive now. I explained this already in my former post, where I wrote that they are available now.

If you are like me and love neutrals and you use them on a regular basis and are willing to pay a bit more on one occasion then I would suggest buying them because I really love them and can only recommend them!!

I hope you all have a nice weekend!! With as much sunshine as we have;)
